19 of the Russian's 21 championships have been earned on hard surfaces
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev won his first trophy for over two years with a win over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
The Russian, a former world number one, has had a difficult season, achieving just one match at the big events and undergoing a meltdown at the American major.
The player's varied form on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serving in especial - led to him dropping out of the top ten and ultimately splitting with former trainer Gilles Cervara.
Presently working with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, he has gradually improved in the recent weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over challenger Corentin Moutet.
It is the player's initial championship after the Rome competition and initial on a hard surface after that period of 2023.
Success also signifies Medvedev has won 21 titles at 21 different events.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a event with my both daughters at once, so to get a championship is especially meaningful," commented ranked player Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my second daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I got when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his past six finals, featuring in Halle previously this season.
His counter-punching play style and regular reactions on the tennis court had prompted some to doubt if his skill to compete at the top level was over.
However the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and perform aggressively, backed up by an better service.
Medvedev fought back from a break down in the initial set against the tricky Moutet, taking four of the concluding five exchanges to gain the advantage.
Both players swapped break points in the following set before Moutet, bidding for his initial ATP Tour title, gained dominance to push for a third set.
The opponent rescued four early opportunities in a competitive third set before Medvedev broke to 15 to secure the win.
Appropriately, the winner secured the title with a rally at the net, with Moutet failing to handle a return after over two and a half hours.
