During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Nine people were wounded while residents in the city's east were experienced blackouts and encountered problems to drinking water, according to city officials.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a different assault in the southeastern region in the southeastern part, based on information from local officials.

Moscow has intensified strikes on electrical systems over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "real steps" from international partners to increase pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not window dressing but strong steps - from the US, the EU and the G7 - in providing defensive weapons and implementing sanctions," he wrote in a social media post.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 rockets attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were striving to fix the damage.

A series of attacks struck energy infrastructure and civilian homes in the capital.

Several of the people injured in the strikes on the city have been taken to hospital, according to city authorities.

The strikes succeed nights of aerial attacks in the region, portions of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

The entire country is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to detect.

Authorities told journalists that Russia was purposely seeking to damage the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already disrupting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and government agencies were preparing for further attacks.
